Default List of Venues We Have Played

Hello again,as new members we want to contribute something to the forum other than shameless plugging of our band..so here is a list of venues we have played and a basic rundown of them:

The Miramar Theatre (Milwaukee)
we played 2 shows here, both through a production company, not sure how you book it,i believe by renting it or by getting on a bill through a production company 300 - 400 capacity..good sound..all ages..21 or older can drink...were good shows

The Modjeska Theatre (Milwaukee)
played one show here through same production company, same people that run the miramar run the modjeska, pretty similar in format, the only thing is its much bigger can probably hold double what the miramar can...same rules...very rundown but still historic and awesome to play at..i've seen Faith No More,Mr Bungle,System of a Down,Hunger,Helmet and others perform here

The Monkey Bar (Milwaukee)
by far our favorite venue to play, and will be playing there our 3rd time on August 7th,seperate room for bands to play off from the bar, format is band sets up show by checking their calendar looking for free date (book 2 months in advance),then they contact them see if they can get it,and then you set it up..pick the bands, the cover,details..bands pay $50 to the sound person and they split the rest of the door cover (you provide door person)capacity is around 75 to 100...21 or older..great sound great atmosphere..always have great sets there

The Grand (formally the SC Grand) (De Pere)
huge awesome venue, have no clue how you book it as we just hopped on a last minute battle of the bands there, very nice, great sound...enjoyed it alot

The Reptile Palace (Oshkosh)
small dive bar with a stage in it..sounds bad,but really it isnt..its designed for bands to play, the whole bar is covered in flyers and stickers of bands that have played there, pretty cool atmosphere to roll into and play on a small stage, decent sound setup...21 or older...contact them through their myspace to book..bands from outta town need to find an opener and headliner from their area to play with..free shows..might get payed if you draw

Bud's Bar (Manitowoc)
we had a fun time playing with 2 local manitowoc bands and plan to return asap..we book through a promotions company to play shows in the manty area called Twisted Rabbit Entertainment..whats cool about them is they get you shows where you get guaranteed pay..its not alot at first but the more you get your name going up there the more you'll make...they also book bars for that entire area and surrounding cities..no sound at bud's..we used our own p.a..but we had alot of fun..21 or older

1146 (Kenosha)
don't know how you book it..we played with another band that asked us to play that we got shows for them previously...but this place has a stage, lights, sound, decent size..open floor near the stage and the crowd was alot of fun,for never hearing us before and us not sounding anything near the other 2 bands that they came to see.21 or older..payed us outright no cover

Area 51 (Madison)
small bar,big stage, freelance sound guy who gets paid out...we booked it through their myspace..but to my understanding theyre under new ownership and i'm not sure bands play there anymore..give it a whirl..ya never know..21 or older..cover charge format..bands split door minus sound person

there are a few other places out of state we have played and a couple in state we will not mention..because its better to not say anything instead of saying bad things about a venue...don't want to get black balled by venues..even if we never intend to play them again anyways..lets just say we have felt the wrath of shady clubs that screw you over

also here are some places we will be playing on our upcoming schedule...

Hattrix (Kenosha)

Live! on North (Milwaukee)

Wauwatosa 4th Of July Parade (Wauwatosa)

I'll update the list as bookings come back to us..we expect a full schedule from July through September done within a week or 2

if you know anyone that will have us in...contact us we want to play out all over the midwest (especially Wisconsin)

contact us on myspace, facebook,or by email

Thanks

Default Re: List of Venues We Have Played

Hey! How about an introduction to the memebers of your band.
Bios, influences, goals, what makes your band gel, your favorite venue, what would make the "perfect venue"
this could be a spring board for your band
market market and more marketing
sell your youself to us
