Default Alpine Valley

Do I even need to write anything here? This place has already built up a great reputation for itself!

I can tell you from experience though, that if you've never been to an Alpine Valley concert - you're REALLY missing out.

You have the option of reserved seating, or just buying a ticket and finding your own spot on the grassy hill. This venue is HUGE and the sounds and experience of being outside is indescribable. In my opinion, the lower priced grass seats are the way to go for most of the concerts here. The experience of being around so many people who are all fans of whomever you're seeing is amazing. The concessions are a bit pricey, but they make a mean margarita at Alpine Valley. Get your beer in a guitar shaped cup, or enjoy great pizza or burgers. There's so much to see and do it's A LOT to take in!

Alpine is a great place for a concert, massive amounts of people. I have not been there in a quite a while, time, distance and funding have prevented me from returning. While the reserved seats are great for viewing the act you need ear plugs or your head will buzz for a minimum of 4 hours after the concert.

Eat and drink , my experiences well let's say I learned NOT to have any liquid for 2 hours prior to the concert, I chew gum or hard candy etc. The restroom facilities are sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad I can not describe it and in this day an age I would NEVER expose myself to such disgusting vile filth.
I always follow a very importatnt rule of mine. If they don't keep the bathrooms cleans ( what the customer sees) how well do they keep their kitchen? In this case I would NEVER EVER eat the food!!!!!!

but hey did you go for music or for eating and drinking? For me the Music is everything and nothing else matters!

too bad Alpine Valley is so farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr away from me.

oh yea that leaves me with with one last irretating thought. The last few years major acts have not performed in the Fox River Valley or North Eastern Wisconsin. My thinking if they do not want to bother with us why should we bother with them? enough said on this.

I always went for the music of course - but I was one of the people who tailgated in the parking lot all day until the gates opened. When the gates first open the bathrooms aren't bad at all.. they pretty much get trashed after the first few hours people are inside. As far as the food I always tried to stick to nachos or candy.. things that were basically wrapped up. Working the fundraiser there all day though we needed something to hold us over for a LONG night's work.
