Though we are a relatively new and young band, we have surprised even ourselves with the level of maturity in our songwriting and ability to handle ourselves as a band. Having overcome countless obstacles that would have stopped most bands dead in the water, we have already made a name for ourselves in the Milwaukee and surrounding area music scene and have shared the stage with many amazing local, regional, and national acts. Forming as a complete band in mid 2006, Hillcrest Road quickly began writing and demoing songs, eventually choosing 11 of the 50 plus they wrote to record for their first ever album, entitled "Life After Liftoff." Working with the legendary underground Chicago engineer Mike Hagler (OK Go, Wilco, The New Pornographers) along with production assistance from Dejan Kralj of The Gufs, the band has quickly surpassed even their highest dreams and goals. With a sound that encompasses everything from catchy pop hooks, hip hop beats, funky blues riffs, and blistering guitar work, we have done our best to create stylistically diverse tunes that are sure to keep you singing.

After listening to their music, you can tell they're a young band working to get their feet off the ground - but they're right.. they've done a good job with the lyrics and achieving a unique sound.
