I'd be interested to hear your favorite Wisconsin concert.. maybe it was a big name performer, maybe an out of the way music festival that really made an impression. What was your favorite concert in Wisconsin and why?

My favorite concert was definitely the Styx, Foreigner, and Def Leppard concert they had at summerfest in 2007.

My first concert at the Milwaukee Arena: Minnie Ripperton did a great opening for Van Morisson, still a favorite.

One of the best, 4th row center seats at Alpine for Bob Dylan and Tom Petty - awesome.

Similar great seats at Alpine for Brian Adams for my sister's first concert.

Jon Luc Ponti on electric violin at the Oriental Theater in Milwaukee for my son Aaron's first concert ~ he spent most of it on my shoulders. Elephant Walk was a hoot!

Springsteen and the Seeger Sessions band at the Bradley Center last year for my oldest daughter's first concert. Got those tickets for half price on www.theBubbler.com free classifieds from "MadCityHippieChick".

Peter Frampton and Gary Wright in one night at a huge hall in Germany; Ludwigshaven or Cologne maybe?

Other great concerts - the kids Christmas programs in school, often the younger, the better.

I've yet to see a concert in Wisconsin but, Keith, I saw Dylan for his Rolling Thunder Review years ago in NY.. awesome! Neil Young, Santana, Eric Clapton, etc. other awesome concerts!

Creed and Finger Eleven in the Eagles Ballroom back in March 1999. Best. Show. Ever.

Saw 3 Doors Down and Nickelback in The Rave basement in 2000 for $5 (before either band was widely known)

Alter Bridge at the House of Blues in Chicago a couple years back was my 2nd favorite of all time.

Most unique show - Finger Eleven, a Canadian rock band, played a show at some small little venue in Madison. I was a member of the street team for the band and had meet & greet passes before the show so my sister and I headed up early and met the band. Later we learned the drummer of the band was really sick and went to the hospital so the rest of the band performed an acoustic set for about 100 or so people. Small venue, intimate, and an acoustic show which the band really never did. Awesome.

Def Leppard (mentioned above).. when I had my music store, their trademark British flag shirts were a big seller!
