Thumbs up Carole King To Stump For Obama Thurs. in Fond Du Lac

MADISON — Award-winning recording artist Carole King will be in Fond du Lac Thursday urging presidential candidate Barack Obama supporters to vote early and become involved in the final days of the election.

[source]

King is also scheduled to appear Thursday at the Winnebago County Democratic Party headquarters, 480 N. Main St., at 5:25 p.m. in Oshkosh to speak on behalf of Sen. Obama and "hopefully sing," said Jef Hall, chairman of the county Democratic Party.

Maybe she'll sing "You've Got A Friend" for Obama?

Carole would be interesting to have sing for me. She's rather easy on the eye, as well. As far as her politics goes, I'm not interested.

I'd rather hear James Taylor sing that particular song.. but I remember seeing a comedy skit with Steve Martin and Carole King once. Steve was yelling for help and Carole was singing that song and ignoring him. Don't recall what show but I think SNL.

James Taylor definitely. My browser froze up when I tried playing the video...too many tabs open.

That's Taylor's song. I recall Taylor and King collaborated on a few songs awhile back...Mockingbird comes to mind. Might have been Carley Simon.
