www.guideforpennypinchers.com — called “Barbara’s Guide for Penny Pinchers” — Wednesday afternoon during an event at the Kwik Trip at 9421 Hwy. 16 in Onalaska,
WI.
The site, which provides resources and tips on saving money on fuel, travel, housing, insurance, prescription drugs, energy use and schools, is in response to a turbulent economy where stretching the dollar is more important than ever, Lawton said.
Unique features at the site include a savings calculator for energy efficiency and a search for the cheapest gas price by zip code, Lawton said. It also has links to other money-saving information. “This is an effort to help people get through this time,” she said.
