Vintage Grenade Found, Disposed Of In Winnebago County
TOWN OF WOLF RIVER — An item described as a "vintage antique hand grenade" was disposed of safely Wednesday after it was discovered in a home here.
Sgt. Gordon LeDioyt of the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department said a contractor doing repair work at a home that is in foreclosure found the item. The home on Oak Lane was unoccupied, LeDioyt said. more: http://www.postcrescent.com/apps/pbc...04&located=RSS Authorities were apparently unable to determine if the grenade were live or not.. most dummy grenades I've encountered have either had the core removed or were a solid piece of cast metal. |
