In these days of "the recession" people look for ways to spend less and still enjoying little rest and relaxation. This will be an ongoing thread,I hope,as I have time or other readers have time to share their favoirte music/performers/artists.
CD sales are down, so is iTunes but another way to enjoy music without much cost is by heading out to your local library. Last year the public library systems saw an increase in use. I have always
enjoyed visiting my library and this year (2009) I will enjoy it more than ever.
I recently stopped by the Appleton Public Library and picked up a few cd's to enjoy.
The Who has always been one of my favorite bands. I have an extensive library of their music but I found this great old cd at the library, "Live at Leeds", This has all the original members on it,making it even better in my mind.
Recorded at Leeds University 2/14/1970 makes this event and recording almost 39 years ago!!
From the great guitar riffs by Pete townsend to great vocals by Roger Daltry with the back beat by Keith Moon and John Entwistle this is a pure treasure. Give it a spin and you too will enjoy the Who
the way they used to be.
